Raxiores of Raxiore: Java vs Bedrock Download Guide

Compare the current Raxiores Java Forge mod, its separate Bedrock port, and the older project so you choose the right download and instructions.

FAQ

Is there a Bedrock version of Raxiores?
The ModBay listing Raxiore of Raxiose describes an official Bedrock port by KingPorosus, made with permission from Raxiore. It is a separate beta add-on.
Are the Java and Bedrock features identical?
We have not verified feature parity. The Bedrock listing describes the port as beta, so Java changelog entries should not be assumed to exist in the add-on.
Why do some guides mention different dependencies?
Search results also include an older, distinct Raxiores [Dinosaur] Java project. Its setup instructions are not automatically applicable to the current Raxiores Of Raxiore project.

The short comparison

Choose by Minecraft edition first, then check the exact project page. Similar names do not make the downloads compatible.

Question Current Java mod Bedrock port
Source used here CurseForge: Raxiores Of Raxiore ModBay: Raxiore of Raxiose
Author or port credit The_Raxiores (Raxiore) KingPorosus; permission from Raxiore stated in the listing
Installation family Forge mod Bedrock add-on
Version information checked Minecraft 1.20.1; ror-0.6 Listing includes Bedrock 26.10 through 26.50
Status boundary Java file marked Beta Listing calls the port beta

The Bedrock version range is the listing’s compatibility claim, not a test result from this site. Recheck the live listing before downloading, especially after Minecraft updates.

If you play Java Edition

Use the current CurseForge project, not an add-on package. Its published metadata specifies Minecraft 1.20.1 and Forge. The current project dependency page lists no dependencies; this does not remove the need for Forge itself.

Java compatibility diagram identifies the current CurseForge project as Minecraft 1.20.1 with Forge.

Follow the Java download and installation guide for the profile setup and backup checklist. If an existing modpack targets another Minecraft version or loader, do not assume this file will work merely because the pack also includes dinosaurs.

If you play Bedrock Edition

Use the separate Raxiore of Raxiose listing on ModBay. It credits KingPorosus and describes the port as official, with permission from Raxiore. That permission statement concerns the port; it is not a blanket license to redistribute the creator’s media or files.

Bedrock port diagram identifies KingPorosus, the beta status, and separate add-on installation.

The port’s own listing is the authority for its package and requirements.

Follow that listing’s installation instructions and required settings. We have not independently verified which Java features have reached the port, console distribution support, or multiplayer behavior. The Java 0.6 changelog should therefore not be used as a Bedrock feature checklist.

The older Java project is another source of confusion

Searches can also surface Raxiores [Dinosaur]. This is a different CurseForge project URL, not the current page linked above. Do not transfer its dependency list, item recipes, or taming instructions to the newer project without current evidence.

Project identity chart separates the current Raxiores Java listing, the older Dinosaur project, and the Bedrock port.

Compare the project URL as well as the name when checking a guide.

For example, a library requirement in an old tutorial does not override the current project’s dependency metadata. Likewise, a creature seen in an older showcase is not sufficient evidence for a complete current roster. Our dinosaur index keeps its evidence and release scope explicit.

Before reporting an installation problem

Record the edition, Minecraft version, loader if applicable, and exact downloaded filename. These details are more useful than “the latest version,” because the Java project and Bedrock port can update independently. The troubleshooting guide explains how to build a useful report without risking your original world.
